last night my 3rd blackjack table was dead the entire time i was relieving it, so i was watching stephanie deal next to me. today we were talking, she asked me if i knew the russian guy in the middle who she was dealing to last night. i said i remembered who he was. well apparently the whole time she was dealing to him, he was telling her how he can’t play at my table because he’s too in love with me. ROFLMAO. omg. hahaha. she told him if he tipped me i would give him my number, that i wasn’t married, he replied “but i am” HAHAH. good times.

came home last night to no where to park again. super. one more time, then i call the landlord.

the plan is to meet andy at the hard rock cafe in chicago at 7pm on sunday. gonna be weird. gonna be cool.

so i went out to look at renting studio space in the old niagara falls high school. this guy at work rents a room there and had been telling me about it. i managed to find it, but there apparently is no parking lot associated with the school. weird, but ok. figured i should go in the main door. there were people in there. it was locked, they let me in, and i found myself in the middle of a city of niagara falls urban planning meeting. haha. go me. so when the lady (possibly the idiot mayor) finished talking, the guy who let me in, took me to the office. of course the person i needed to talk to wasn’t there. but they have my number and i have theirs. took some pamphlets. looks like a really legit, really cool operation. dance studios, music studios, theatres, and all the individual artists studios. you can take all sorts of classes…two art galleries. definitely seems like a cool place. we really need to get space in there i think. the atmosphere could work wonders on me i think. hopefully there is still space available, or a waiting list i can get us on.

and when i went into the office, a kid i went to high school with was standing there. weird.

ok, so today, i promise…new layout. it’s half done. but i have to scan my flintkote pics first. they are exciting. well…i got excited seeing the negatives. so many nice machines

i have a bone to pick with mr stephen king… mr king, schizophrenia is not the same as multiple personality disorder. and multiple personality disorder is not schizophrenia. schizophrenics do not have more than one personality that sometimes comes out, while the other personality goes into “hiding”. they don’t have one personality that is dominant, with another that only comes out sometimes. they do not have more than one personality that don’t know the other personalities exist. simply. schizophrenics don’t have multiple personalities. they’re just schizophrenics. schizophrenia is a thought disorder, not a personality disorder. there are 4 kinds of schizophrenia, and none of the 4 types involve personality problems of any kind.

so writing a character in the dark tower series that has multiple personalities, but saying she has schizophrenia is totally and completely incorrect. comparing her behavior as a “schizophrenic” to the movie “The Three Faces of Eve” is correct, but Eve had multiple personality disorder, and was not schizophrenic. i would think as a writer of popular fiction, you would do at least a little bit of research before you give your characters psychological disorders. reading the symptoms in the DSM alone would give you enough information to properly diagnose your characters. chuck palahniuk obviously has extensive knowledge of the DSM since he uses it in practically every book he writes haha.
