there is a new 100 box of crayola crayons, with the whole “name the new shades” contest and a “save the shade” contest…of course i have to go buy them. i’ll need to get some coloring books too while i’m at it….
pai gow 2 days in a row. 2 pai gow, and 1 black jack game relief tonight. that’s possibly one of the best relief strings you can have, outside of roulette. was a good time, despite my stupid mistakes.
everytime brian and i go exploring it rains. never fails.
stop #1. buffalo malting. james came along too. neat building, lots of graffiti. not all too sketchy, at least i didn’t think so. we were in plain view of lots of people when we were on the roof, but i wasn’t worried about it.
stop #2. buffalo soap company. how fight club. that was a bust however. it’s still being used by various companies. went down a one way street the wrong way, and of course a cop drives by. gave us a hard time, even tho brian played lost.
stop #3. concerete central. attempted brian’s new path to the building, which required walking acrosss a railroad bridge. no problem. except for my slight fear of walking over sewer grates, which the entire bridge was made of. first trip over was very anxiety provoking haha. that was a bust also tho, paintballers had staked out the territory for the day. back over the bridge, ug, but it wasn’t as bad the 2nd time. seemed to go on forever the first trip over haha.
stop #4. the ship. still can’t get on it, but i had never seen it. totally want to get on. i can’t imagine what it’s like on deck.
and there we have it. didn’t take all that many pictures, cuz the light wasn’t all that great inside buffalo malting. half a roll left over from last week, then a full roll. the ship pictures are on a 3rd still in the cam. dunno when i’ll get them developed. maybe i should save them incase we need to develop something for a class assignment soon.
now i don’t know if this is common casino practice or not, but…we have to decide when we want to take our 2 weeks vacation when we all qualify for it in december. all of july and august are blacked out, along with all major holidays. that leaves basically, spring and fall. ok, no problem. i wanted to go to vegas in the spring anyway. i’m #344 on the seniority list. that means 343 other dealers get to choose their vacation time before me. we must take 1 full week at a time. we have the first session, where we pick 10 choices soon, then in a few weeks, we have to pick when we want our 2nd vacation. to me, this makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. why should we have to be planning vacations 6 to 10 months from when we’re going to actually take them? it’s irritating. i could see a month, even 2 months advance notice…but march is 7 months from now. who knows what will be going on by then, i can’t plan a vacation now for 7 months from now. that’s insane. and it sucks. blah. and i get screwed even tho i was a day one employee, because i switched to deal in may, i don’t get counted along with all the other day one employees. seniority is determined from when you started in the department.
