went out with tony to the casino tonight. we always have the best time. he’s so funny. it was extra exciting tonight, we witnessed a big car accident. happened right in front of us (we were the first car at the light). military and the blvd, guy plowed into the side of a cop car going through the intersection. we were both like OH SHIT. i actually thought the cop car might go out of control and hit me, but we were safe. we pulled over and waited to give statements, but they only took tony’s cuz “i had nothing more to add”, so he’ll be the one who gets hasselled to go to court or something.
came back to the states, went to the bar in the mall parking lot, came back home. ended up watching the music channels for 3 hours waiting to see a justin timberlake video. we saw about 4 videos, none of them justin. we wanted to close caption it cuz tony said it’s funny for the beat box parts. but seriously…3 hours with no justin. plenty of beyonce, and ashanti, and evanescence (who, for proclaiming they are not a goth band, sure fit the look in their new video)ginuwine, and utter crap. over and over and over again. sad. oh trent and maynard come save modern music.
i am soooooooo tired.
it’s raining. i guess i’m not going to the falls to use up the rest of my nite film…maybe it’ll stop after dark. we’ll see.
i was thinking about the car accident again. the whole psychology of it all was so interesting. it was what we talked about in cognitive class, in person. so it was cool. there has been all kinds of research done about eye witness testimony, and things of that nature. like…when something happens, you’re not supposed to let the witnesses talk to eachother. everyone is supposed to be isolated so they can’t talk about what they saw. it leads to false beliefs. in this case, neither tony nor i knew if the light on military ave was red or green. we couldn’t see it. but when the cop was taking tony’s testimony, this girl came over and said she saw the light was red. the cop said, yeah that’s what the other guy said too. saying that was completely wrong procedure, because it’s a leading question/comment. it’s suggesting that the light was red, and through that, tony could think…oh maybe the light was red, yeah i think i remember now, it was red – when it really wasn’t. and in my case, i didn’t see the light, but i thought it was green. someone suggesting that it was red, could make me change what i thought was true. it was all very interesting. the cop was out of line with his comment. he should know better. but of course he’s covering for the cop who got hit, cuz the cop didn’t have his siren on. he wasn’t paying much attention either, or he would have seen the guy who hit him too. whatever.
headache. want to get the new domain at least partially up. and if it stops raining, pic taking in the falls.
omg i hate george bush. “The House voted Thursday to let the Bush administration move ahead with proposed rules that could stop at least 644,000 white-collar workers from receiving overtime pay, heeding a White House veto threat and taking the side of business in its battle against unions” (yahoo.com)
ok none of you uncomprehendably republican conservative friends of mine can possibly agree with that. no overtime pay?!?!? wtf is that?!?!? so what, everyone is expected to work overtime for free? we are the only country in the world that works the amount of hours that we do, for no reason (with maybe the exception of japan)…all the european countries have 3 months of vacation time, work shorter weeks, for the same output as us. and now people aren’t going to get paid for overtime?? that’s bull shit.
