Hussien (sp?)”…. see THIS is what i don’t get. i don’t get how OUR AMERICAN PRESIDENT can just DECIDE to remove some other leader from office….this is why i’m taking international politics….i’m sure someone will bring this up in class… in 15 minutes. shit, i should leave now LOL.
carolyn is gonna like what i have to say here….since she’s all into how great english/literature is…
but i was in clinical psych class and proff said something about “big brother” watching everyone….and it made me think. it’s really fascinating how much certain scholarly works…be it literature, or psych, or medicine…end up pervading society. so many things we say, or refer to have basis in works of literature…. like “big brother” for example….had 1984 never been written, that wouldn’t be a term anyone ever used. kinda amazing. and in the area of psych…the amount of Freud that gets used in everyday language is amazing…even though Freud’s theories have been critiqued, and discounted in some areas….he was so important, and had such influential ideas that they’ve become common place…. i dunno. i just kinda found it interesting.
anyway. i gotta do this interview thing in a half hour. i was gonna go right there after class and sit there for a half hour, but ended up talking to this girl and walking back to the townhouses with her. it’s so blah windy cold out…but sunny…hate that. it tricks you. i can’t wait for it to get just a big warmer so i dont have to wear a coat anymore. but then i wish it would just stay at that temp… like 50 is good.
few more things….
1. macs suck. i don’t know how anyone can stand to use them. i especially don’t know how people like trent reznor do all their music on them. or maybe it’s just the macs we have here, that are so fucking unstable, you can’t do a damn thing on them. you do something and it freezes, crashes, you name it…i dont think i’ve been on a mac once that hasn’t had a problem so far this semester. i think if i was a musician or artist using a mac and spent all this time on a project to have the mac suddenly fuck up and die…i’d be really pissed, to the point i’d become violent. i NEVER have that many problems with my PC…
2. listening to “candyass”…it’s been a loooong time since i last listened to it. i forgot how much i love it. so totally digging “fetisha” and “Gender” right now…and it totally reminds me of summer. i know, i say that about almost EVERY cd that i love to death, it just happens that i get them in the summer, or get into a band in the summer…but this one, it reminds me of driving in a car, really sunny outside,…with melinda. APC reminds me of driving around in a car, with eric, in the rain…and APC also reminds me of spring, moreso than summer (except the rain thing) cuz we had the mp3s playing for the last month of school sophomore year, and during finals…but yeah i dunno. me and danielle have been having orgy moments since Jay’s song appeared on the internet. and we realized that in 2 weeks it’ll be a year since Orgy weekend….i think me danielle and adr should have an orgy party. except adr doesn’t live here so…dunno how that’s gonna happen LOL. they need to finish the damn album and tour.
ok there was something else to say but i gotta head out to do my thing.
why must my internet die every night between 10 and 11pm?…..like COMPLETELY die…i hate geneseo.

the word “orgy” has pretty much totally lost all sexual meaning for me. lol. it doesn’t even occur to me to be a weird thing that i wear a shirt that says “orgy” on it… or in everyday conversation i’ll say “orgy” and that some people may not understand what i’m talking about, and think i’m talking about a sexual thing…hahah.
