i should have stayed at work. i have nothing to do at home. i’m gonna sit here for 2 hrs doing nothing. gah. 40 hours next week for sure. even on my 6am day saturday. plus with the holiday it should be good tips.
today’s lamp hunting mission was fruitful yet not fruitful. Because the shop I was looking for, as expected, does not exist anymore. We stopped in a lamp restoration shop, talked to the guy, and he gave me a fount of information. Which I just very easily followed up on. Sent out a few letters and hopefully I get some responses. We’ll see.

spent 4 and a half hours on a dead bacc game, but had fun. mucked for about an hour, and spent the rest of the night on caribbean stud. oh yeah haha. slumming it! so much better than being in high limit all the time.
tommy came in tonight. i got a message from him through dunkle who was supervising in the pai gow section. that tommy wondered if i fell off the face of the earth, and that it seemed like he really wanted me to call him. i said whatever. he ended up finding me in caribbean. it was alright seeing him. i guess it was nice but i don’t know that i really want to hang out at all. he came back again in my last 20 min and was asking if he could call me cuz he really really wanted to talk to me cuz it’d been a long time. and he was with this girl who i apparently met this summer. i don’t remember meeting her but she looked really familiar. but i think that’s cuz she looked like brian’s sister sherry. i don’t think this was a girlfriend or anything. and i really could care less. it’d actually be really great if that was a new girlfriend cuz then maybe i could hang out with him and have a good time without him thinking it was cuz i wanted to be with him. so i guess he’s going to call me on my days off or something. i dunno. haven’t talked in month in a half or so, and i still have absolutely nothing to talk about with him. besides the fact that i do pretty much nothing with my time. so yeah. not really looking forward to that.
i think i might get my moms sewing machine and just fool around with it. i can’t take the classes at the sewing store cuz they’re tuesday nights. but i really need something to do with my afternoons besides sleep til 3 and sit here playing chuzzle til i go to work. maybe i can do something cool for the upcoming shows. and dude if we have a whole summer of more nin shows i’ll def need a bigger wardrobe.
and i decided that when i’m in vegas i’m going to try to get auditions at a few places. first choice, hard rock hotel. because as i understand it they pretty much let you look however you want to look. so if i really want to give myself a real mohawk and dye it blue, they’d think it was cool. that and cuz they are one of the highest paid out there. i want to look at wynn too but i think i’m delusional to think i’d get in there. they’re also making top dollars.
OH and good news for me trying to comp nin tickets at aladdin…our old casino manager just went out there and is a host at aladdin! score! even tho i talked to him maybe once, and it was really just “hi how are you” when he was checking up on us swing shifters on some saturday night. it’s better than finding a complete stranger as a host and trying to score tickets by just looking rich hahaha.
getting up early to go out to clarence and track down some terminal light fixtures. got a tip yesterday. i’d die to actually walk into this shop and find them. gotta play it cool and score us a deal if i do run into anything out there.

gah! amira emailed me about last night’s show. possible no soundcheck/meet and greets this leg.
and i realized that i can wear the fishnet-dress-i-bought-even-though-i’d-never-have-a-reason-to-wear-it dress to the vegas show since we have seats and won’t have to sit out side in the freezing cold all day 🙂 yay!
kitty is in the middle of his first experience with a helium balloon. i’m not sure he knows what to make of it. he grabs the ribbon and pulls on it, the balloon comes down and kitty gets scared. he’s freaking out ahha. it’s funny.
and sabres lost 🙁 but they managed to get to overtime in the last 30 sec of the game. that was good haha.
my mom is funny. she emailed me cuz she found a potential urbex location for me hahaha. and she saw jason pominville from the sabres on the news today and thinks he’s the cutest thing ever haha. she made me look him up on line to see how old he was.
and after a few years….our schizophrenic friend called my mom while i was over there!! gaah! mom is back to screening calls now. it really felt like forever since she would call all the time.
that’s why mr the edge is my new fav member of u2. how cute is that?!?! hahah
i’m trying very very hard to watch the grammys. but it is TOUGH. 34 minutes, and the only thing of interest was madonna’s opening, and even that wasn’t that spectacular. coldplay (at least i think it was coldplay) reminds me why i hate the newest u2 records. and did they steal one of edge’s guitars? whoever the black guy was singing “everyday people”…maybe you could think of more words for your next song. ok, alright, i get it, you’re gonna take it slow. move on now. he might have stolen the record for number of pitches in one held note from mariah carey and x-tina. i thought it was going to give me an aneurysm.
and i’m not even looking forward to u2. i really don’t want to see politician bono on his soapbox. bowie is to get a lifetime acheivement award. i think it’s his first grammy ever. i’m not sure he’ll be on the show though…

oh hey and u2 is on right now. bono doesn’t look too bad haha. they should just come out and do banjo “vertigo” really surprise everyone. and GAH my mom…calls in the middle of “one” just like she called when u2 was on the grammy’s 4th year in college. and wow mary j blige’s voice just does not fit well with bono’s. but it was pretty good. ha they cut them off before bono could say anything.
yay bowie! i’m real glad that these lifetime acheivement awards are getting about 5 seconds of mention.

so sly and the family stone get a whole song and dance segment for their lifetime acheivement award. i want a bowie tribute. how fun would that be?!? and fantasia from american idol…is she supposed to be the next tina turner? sly had a killer mohawk.

so what award did u2 just win? song of the year? sometimes you can’t make it on your own. maybe if no one in bono’s life dies in the next 4 years, u2 will have a better album next time around.
kanye’s little prerecorded blurb about starting the 5 second delay now was pretty funny. the performance sucked.
ok this is beyond boring now….
there was all kind of drama at work the last few days. a while ago, probably late nov, early dec, around the same time i was being stalked, a dealer called S got fired for using the N word in front of a black supervisor and some black players. i never really knew the whole story about it, but i guess she said it because the supervisor, A, had been sexually harassing her and grabbing her all day. i had heard that it actually was the players that turned her in for the racial slur, not A. but she was fired for it.
then shortly after that another dealer, R, went to a female pit boss and asked them what to do if you were getting sexually harassed. R ended up filing a report about being sexually harassed by A.
now i’ve known about this since december. one of the people R asked for advice told me about it when i was complaining about my stalker. R was really upset because nothing had been done to A about it. she expected him to be suspended and fired just like S was. but then it gets complicated. R was good friends with S, and it seemed like she might have been setting A up because A is the one who got S fired.
it is not a stretch at all to think that A was sexually harassing anyone, because he was always a big flirt, asking everyone out, etc. it’s seriously not a surprise at all. but it does seem kind of odd with the whole S fired thing, etc. especially because of that A was supposed to have said: “let’s fuck on the table, the cameras won’t see”. that just wasn’t a thing he’d say. even when his exwife who hates his guts was asked if that was something he’d say, she said no.
so anyway. now it’s a few months later, and R is upset because still nothing has been done to A about the harassment. she was advised to go to HR about it. when she did, she found out that her complaint was never filed with HR. which is typical of our managers, given the fact that they told me it was my fault that stalker was stalking me. i highly doubt that any of my complaints against the player were filed either. once at HR, they took over, and A was suspended and fired on Monday night. he said he wasn’t going to fight it cuz R was native and she’d win anyway.
so none of us who know the whole story know what to really think. all i know for sure is that our management needs some serious sensitivity training, and need to be a hell of a lot more unsexist. it’s just not right. maybe this incident will get everyone to realize there are things that can’t be said, there are things to be done when behavior crosses the line, and people will be more careful.

i ♥♥♥ club diablo. AND it’s right next door to where i was SUPPOSED to move downtown, until they told me i make too much money. but wow if i lived there, i’d be at diablo all my days off haha. any bar that has 4 nin cds in the jukebox, and selections include “physical” is my kind of bar. and the dj later played “only” so it was like, yeah. my 2nd home haha. it was good to get together with everyone. we took a stroll down the street to see the clock at m&t bank, finally used up my disposable b&w camera. that’ll be interesting haha. tried to convince amanda to go get tattoos but no luck hehe. everyone left, so i went with deedee and her friend to the pink on allen. bad memories of that place but thankfully didn’t run into anyone i knew. ran into a coked up girl in the bathroom who wanted to cut my hair though haha. she apparently used to make 150k a year at some fancy salon downtown. and you quit that job?!?!?! lol
and i ♥♥♥ the chick-hawk. i’d wear it every day if i wouldn’t get sent home from work. it needs to be black and blue tho. if only i was black, so i wouldn’t get sent home from work for having crazy hair colors.
and now i’m hungry.
