i soooo fucking hate blackjack. if i’m on it again tomorrow i’m going to cry. i’m in so much pain right now it’s not even funny. and besides that, i was SUPPOSED to have the “early out” break, and leave at 20 to 4…so much for that, my relief skipped me or SOMETHING, cuz there it is, quarter to and i’m still on my table…so i was in for an hour and 20 min with no break, and didn’t get to leave early, and am in so much pain ug. hate blackjack.

now my stomach hurts and blah.

G (who is going to be my neighbor in the apartment) asked if i was going to the bar tomorrow night, cuz someone has taken a shining to me and wanted to know. yeah apparently this kid who has never said 2 words to me is interested in me. he sat across from me on break today, didn’t say a word…ooookkkk. yeah. ran into yet another NT grad who works at the casino too haha. 2 classes after mine, don’t know his name, but i knew he looked familiar and he was talking to me at work so i asked. yup, NT grad. we’re all winners!!!

i feel like at least one trent poster, macphisto and bowie all need homes in the new apartment. which goes against my/our planned decor. but i think i’m gonna have to arrange something so that they have homes…

i’m in such a u2 mood again it’s weird. the band at work did a bad cover of “Beautiful Day”…i found myself randomly having thoughts about u2 while i was dealing…i actually wanted to listen to all that you can’t leave behind  ….watched pop mart again, watched zoo tv…and of course this layout…

i need to go to bed. my pain pills need to kick in.

 

i was just looking through my site designs, and approximately this time 2 years ago i had my macphisto layout….strange.

so i have a date thursday with the guy i met at the casino. mom fucking flipped out. apparently when he called he told her he knows me from the casino. so she asks me what he does there, i said he doesn’t work there. *flies off the handle* what are you doing giving your number to strangers at the casino. those people probably think anyone working at a casino is easy, and blahblahblahblahblahblah *end*….then when my dad gets home she tells him “guess what sara did that could be really dangerous…” like what the fuck. i guess she forgot about the thing called dating, when you meet someone you might be interested in and exchange numbers to get to know each other more… oh wait, it’s probably just that he’s not nate.

haven’t told her he’s black yet either…that’ll be spectacular

so yeah, totally need to get out of my house. everything will be easier….except for eating healthy. that’ll be rough hahaha.

and speaking of nate, there is a new dealer at work who is eerily reminiscent of nate…different shaped head, but the face, definitely similar. i did like a quadruple take lol.

i was trying to find someone with wednesday off to switch with me, so i can go to toronto and risk getting sars to see lacuna coil again. but i can’t find anyone…blah. probably be for the better, cuz with my luck, i would get sars and start an epidemic in buffalo blahblahblah. but i really want to see them again. and i really want to see bowie again. i heard he’s working on new material but with no planned release date yet.

holyfuckingshit good news. fishy is a goddess and has gotten so into this project, that she’s actually called places…one called her back to tell her there will be open houses at the terminal AND the psych center august 9 and 10th. SO FUCKING THERE IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY!!!!!!!!! and then the 11th is ozzfest. sooooooo excited!!!

new design will be up by the time i go to work at 6.

on our lil road trip fishy mentioned how u2s lyrics went down the drain on “all that you cant leave behind” and she is so totally right. i was reading through achtung and pop lyrics yesterday and it’s like…”bono you are so brilliant”…and then you get atyclb and it’s like…how boring and lame.

so anyway. got up at 2, work at 6, so i have 3 hrs for my hair to dry, better get in the shower now.

i am soooooooooo exhausted. work was fantastic. keith hooked me up and got me on a roulette game. yay. of course my 2 big payouts all night i messed up, but it doesn’t matter. hahah. everyone said i did really well, and everyone kept coming over to see me hahaha. greg commented that i got a uniform that actually fit this time, and shows off how skinny i really am lol. i must have lost 10 lbs tonight, i was sweating my ass off. that rayon, polyester, whatever doesn’t breathe too well. so yeah…was on roulette most of the night, then they closed my game. got put on blackjack for 3 hands, closed that game….put on another blackjack for 10 hands or so, closed that game lol. was finally put on a blackjack game for the last hour of my shift. it was good. i didn’t fuck up or anything hahah. a very good night. yay. love my job.

did i mention i killed a bird en route to cleveland? yeah…hit it with my car.

and the good songs of u2’s pop are so fucking amazing it’s not even funny.

 

going to sign the lease on the apartment in a few, but….

melody fair is reopening this summer, with bands like chicago, david cassidy, pat benetar, weird al, george thorogood…but HELLA EXPENSIVE.

canal concert series is back too this summer…wednesdays, thursdays, fridays and saturdays…survivor, gin blossoms, spin doctors, joan jett…

and thursday in the square is going to have finger eleven and default june 26th…

and the buffalo harbor is having the tea party on july 26…

and the tonawandas are having a jazz festival…

friendship fest doesn’t have bands lined up yet…

who knew there’d be so much going on in the tonawandas this summer?!?! good thing i have thursdays off.

 

fishy and i are going to write a book. er well…mostly pictures, some text. i have to go to the buffalo library and start researching. and get some contact information and stuff. she’s calling harvard about some things. and we need to create waivers about us getting injured. anyone know what kind of stuff to include? lol i wish i had friends who were laywers.. OH WAIT DAVIN IS IN LAW SCHOOL! rad. hahah.

and we’re planning a road trip to philly/nj sometime before november. to eastern state penitentary, and asbury park. maybe centralia, pa. depending on time, maybe sharon springs ny too.

signed the lease. get the keys next week after he puts the locks on. i’ll let everyone know my new information when i get a phone and stuff haha.

oh hell yeah ottawa won in overtime. on to game 7.

and yeah i totally wanted to dye my hair black again suddenly. looked at the picture of me and laura in NYC with my black hair, and was like MUST DYE HAIR BLACK. but of course now that it’s long, it’ll be in there forever like last time, and my hair will be 2 diff colors blahblahblah and it’ll suck so yeah…negating that. definitely have to dye it red again tho. it’s so faded my highlights are back.

and the guy called about the apartment. he wanted to tell me he hadn’t gotten a hold of susan for my reference yet, and wondered if we were still interested. so this one looks better for us. he’s gonna call susan tomorrow cuz she’ll be in, and call me back (leave a message for me at home)…

adventures in urban exploring…

finally i had a partner in crime to go scope out buffalo central terminal again, and the psych center. started at the terminal. there was a gas company truck parked in the “parking lot” of the terminal, so when we got out of our car the guy was all like “Want me to take your picture?!” so we were like um sure, he took pics of us in front of the building, artfully hiding the “no tresspassing” sign behind us lol. he left us alone, and we took more pictures, walked around to the other side where there were workers sitting in their bulldozers. we asked them if they could let us inside, gave them our story about working for the railroad museum in baltimore, and he said no. fine. so we walked back the other way and down to the street that ran underneath the terminal. there is another strip of building there, all fenced off still. a cop drove by, scoped us out, la la la not doing anything wrong. just taking pictures. turns out that this farther end part of the building wasnt fenced of and was completely open. so we went in. it was so rad. kinda scary, lots of broken glass, but so friggen cool. probably could have gotten into the terminal from there, but that would be pushing it since we had no kind of first aid stuff with us, and we’re chickens hehe.

eventually left there and drove down to elmwood, stopped at a store that has a table i want for 120$, stopped at the poster store that had many of the posters i want for our apartment, so that’ll be helpful, won’t have to order them online. went to the psych center, and the bastards fenced it in too, like the terminal, for the restoration. ug. i hate chain link fences. so we couldn’t even get close to the building. walked the entire way around it, looking for places to maybe get in. found a giant hole someone cut in the fence, so people are still getting in at night. i ran in the hole real quick to grab a few shots, and then ditched. got conversed to by one of the patients. she thought i was jewish. hahah. so pissed about the fencing. ug.

headed back home, got ready to go to the casino. had dinner, fishy got to see the bitch that is minnie mouse. headed to see the falls, and went to canada. went to the casino there, i played some pai gow. cashed in 35 left with 115. and actually got a good exchange rate changing the 100 to american, got 71…better than last time when i got 64….walked down clifton hill, got martinis at the sports bar and watched the 2nd period of the ottawa new jersey game (oh i should check the score…tied, 12 min left in overtime)…headed back to the states and the casino again. fishy got to see john. goddamnit why does he have to look so hot all the time. he looked like beyond good tonight, ug ug ug. stupid john.

tried to get back to cvs to pick up my film (ended up taking a whole role at the terminal, plus the cleveland role, and now half a roll in the camera still from the psych center)…but it was closed. will pick up and scan tomorrow.

now it’s time for popmart show …gotta work off whatever mood this is that john got me into tonight hahah.

and oh yeah… my car turned 20,000 outside cleveland on the way home last night….took 15 months to hit 10,000 and 8 to hit the next 10….

time for bed. going to cleveland for the day tomorrow with fishy. should be an adventure. i need film *writes note*…gotta drop my shirt off to be dry cleaned tomorrow cuz we have a plan for wednesday i made fishy call wegmans to see if they do dry cleaning in one day. apparently the people were stupid and told her to go to someplace on colvin, cuz that’s where they send all their stuff to, and that place can do it in an hour. so if all else fails i can go there wed, go do some stuff in buffalo, come back and pick it up to head to the falls. yay for plans.

so yeah….be back sometime in the next 48 hours.

we didn’t get the apartment.  back to square one now. gonna have to look around for more for rent signs, maybe go back to the place that had been our first choice and look at it again, since we did get accepted by them.

i watched 3 movies last night and 1 the night before. maybe watch should be in quotes. they were on as background noise. hedwig saturday night, then fight club, dirty dancing, and wayne’s world last night. why? i dunno cuz i’m just gonna end up watching them again when fishy is here lol. but once again, how can anybody NOT like dirty dancing?!?!?!

gotta get ready to run around niagara falls getting my new badge and stuff.

 

well…some of you might have noticed the site disappeared for a period of time today. exceeded bandwidth limit. actually… ty exceeded bandwidth limit . the mp3s he had up temporarily ended up using 7gigs of my transfer, when a normal month i use just over 1 gig hahah. so he ever so nicely paid to have the site turned back on for the rest of the month.

went to work to do the whole uniform exchange/badge exchange/employee quarterly meeting thing. it went semi smoothly. the meeting was cool. the president went over how we got to where we are, how we’re doing, where we’re going. and let me just say where we are going is hella impressive. they need to put the little video that they showed us online, on the site, cuz yeah. i bet the general public would like to see where they are going. esp the people who doubt the sucess of the project. next phase is demolishing the bus station and restaurant next door to the casino – plowing it flat for a parking lot. then in august, they start building a parking ramp, and employee cafeteria in that space. once the ramp is finished they can start the Spa Hotel directly behind the casino (where parking is now – hense the need for the ramp to be finished first). it’s going to add so many square feet of gaming space, bunch of hotel rooms, a spa (hense spa hotel), blahblahblah. then next step after that, is 2 year project to build the 2nd hotel. “y” shaped like alot of the vegas hotels. again, adds a bunch more gaming space, and family entertainment center. after that is the 4000 seat arena thing, and finally the conference hotel with conference rooms, convention center, etc. they had this nice rad rotating view of the site, and each part of the project, and night time view. it’s really really impressive. the entire area between rainbow blvd and niagara street is going to be the complex. when you exit the robert moses you’ll run right into the casino. all the ghetto housing on rainbow blvd will be razed…the only thing that they aren’t tearing down is the church nextdoor hehe. but yeah…wow. it’s a 5 year project, can’t wait to see how it turns out. *excited*  *dork*

and maybe i’m just being naive, since this is my first real job, in a real company, that treats their employees well…but i love working for them. they treat us really good, and seem to really care about us. they’re expanding our benefits program, there’s a picnic in june over 2 days so everyone can attend at some point, they’re putting in an employee store in the parking lot building, and a friggen dry cleaners for us…and it’s exciting to have been there from the beginning, and to see how this is all going to turn out.

there were 2 big winners over the weekend. some 80 year old man from rochester won 1.1 million on a wheel of fortune slot machine. and a couple from erie PA came to the falls to get married, went to the casino afterwards and won a car. nice wedding gift eh?

oh right, yeah, first day dealing is thursday. my normal days off are now moved to wed/thurs…won’t have to request off for dave gahan in toronto. will have to request off for ozzfest. no problem.

i think they gave me wrong size shirts again. the vests fit cuz they sewed them for me. they actually sorta too tight cuz i gained 5 lbs last week…but they’ll be ok. but the shirts, since they lost my uniform order form, have the short sleeve problem again. they gave me size 8s again when i think we had decided on the form to go with 10s…i’m gonna go back on wed when we’re in the falls and see. and it seems like i’ll be able to wear my own black pants with it, cuz the vest is longer yay.

went to look for more apartments. got a few more numbers from the same area, only got through to 1 which has to call me back to set up a viewing appt. tried to call our former 1st choice, but there was no answer. going to try again later, to see if they still have apts available – since they did accept us first time around. but we’ll see. and then it’s back to ikea. tyler would be so ashamed. i want to go back to ikea like, right this minute LOL. *ashamed of myself*

i don’t understand how i can sleep til 2:30 and be tired.

wrote a letter to nate at work today. got hit on by this one player for the last 2 hours of my shift. he wants to take me out to my all time favourite restaurant, olive garden. he said he’ll call me. yeah we’ll see, he was pretty drunk.

ottawa needs to start scoring some goals again.

as far as the Reloaded scott weiland/gnr thing…what i heard on 97.7 was that scott was officially signed onto the group. they had been calling themselves the project, but officially changed it to reloaded.

as far as tapeworm….they’ve been releasing material this year or next year for like 5 years now. and all we have is the a perfect circle live version of “vacant” and a few pictures of the guys in the studio from tapeworm.net (which is no longer up, just like nin.com)

john is a traitor. he’s switching to day shift. arg. i yelled at him. he begged mary to let me go on break when he did, and she actually let me LOL. then she let me take my full scheduled break. it was great. even tho i was mad at him i told him about my wack dreams about him (had another last night, but i don’t remember it). he said i have serious issues with sex LOL. i was telling tony about the dream he was in, he said i have issues too. but not with sex.

i had stuff to say last night, but adelphia was screwy and i’ve since forgotten it all.

a bunch of people were going to see the matrix today. i figured since i haven’t seen the first one, i shouldn’t go see the second one. plus i knew there was no way i was getting up to see it at 1:30. haha jeff said to go home and rent it and watch it last night so i could go with everyone. um yeah…where can i rent a movie at 3:30 am? lol.

my computer is screwed up. the drive is loud again, and i just friggen got that drive. and for whatever reason the standby light is always on even tho i have standby turned off. and everytime i turn it off and back on, it forgets my mouse settings, and the mouse speed goes back to slow. this is why i hate doing anything to my computer. it never fucking works.

and add 2 more comments to the “you should keep your sexy voice” list. lemme go run out and swallow some razorblades 😛

 

OH YEAH i remember the big deal thing i was going to say.

yesterday my alarm turned on and was playing STP’s “dead and bloated”…which i found odd…. later on in heard “wicked garden”…found that odd too…then i heard “vaseline”…still odd. finally found out the reason for all the STP tracks on the radio….

scott weiland officially joined the former memebers of Guns n Roses (like you know…Slash and them) to form a supergroup called Reloaded. !!!!!!!!!! how fucking great is that going to be?!?!?! they have 2 soundtrack songs coming out, and are working on a full length album. excited!!!

now if we can only get the tapeworm supergroup going again…and the one with scott and jay gordon.

and in other news, word is that trent is working full time on the new nin record!!
