dream

ROFL just remembered some dream…i guess i was back stage at a nin show, but it was in a department store. so we were hanging around in the stock rooms. and all i really remember is that trent had crates full of stuffed animals. i guess it was all the stuffed animals that fans have given him as presents. he used them to give to his dogs to play with. so some were half chewed up and others were fine. there was one that was 90$.

and holy crap my credit card bill is $65. i haven’t seen a 65$ credit card bill since the nin tour started last march LOL

in the end i just really have no motivation to go to toronto today. i should. i shouldn’t just sit here all day like every other day of my life. but i just don’t feel like getting up and getting ready to go to TO. and thinking about it, do i really need boots now? am i really gonna wear big ole boots to summer shows and sweat my ass off all day? plus, with 675$ still gone to the identity thief, i don’t have alot of money right now. i should just stay home and do something productive like, oh, UNPACK finally hahah. or continue to spray paint the thing i took from hens and kelly. and wash my reznor heater. and wash my car. tho i don’t have a hose…and i really want to get my bike working again. i think it’ll be fine, just possibly need new tires. i’m not sure if my mom went back to detroit or not. if so, it’d be a good time to get my bike (since she said i’m not allowed to ride it cuz the tires are rotted hahaha cuz i’m 10 years old and she can tell me not to ride my bike). i just really think i need to work out a bit. i gained 10 lbs AND YES I KNOW THAT’S NOT ALOT AND THAT I NEED TO GAIN WEIGHT. but i really don’t like it. it makes my clothes not fit me. and i think i should just not be so lazy, and work out, and get some muscle tone. and biking would be good. i don’t want to wear a helmet tho. but also, i have no car carrier for my bike, so i can’t transport it anywhere at the moment. other than sticking it in my trunk haha. actually, i don’t even know where my bike is at my parents house…could be in the roof of the garage, and then i wouldn’t be able to get it now anyway.

so that was the most random manic paragraph ever.

i had a dream that kitty was a threat to homeland security. wtf.

i’m really bored. i should just go to TO for something to do. but i just really don’t feel like it haha. i just don’t really want to go by myself.

from yahoo: “Hell, Mich., heats up for 6-6-6 party”

They’re planning a hot time in Hell on Tuesday. The day bears the date of 6-6-06, or abbreviated as 666 — a number that carries hellish significance. And there’s not a snowball’s chance in Hell that the day will go unnoticed in the unincorporated hamlet 60 miles west of Detroit.

Nobody is more fired up than John Colone, the town’s self-styled mayor and owner of a souvenir shop.

“I’ve got `666′ T-shirts and mugs. I’m only ordering 666 (of the items) so once they’re gone, that’s it,” said Colone, also known as Odum Plenty. “Everyone who comes will get a letter of authenticity saying you’ve celebrated June 6, 2006, in Hell.”

Most of Colone’s wares will sell for $6.66, including deeds to one square inch of Hell.

Live entertainment and a costume contest are planned. The Gates of Hell should be installed at a children’s play area in time for the festivities.

“They’re 8 feet tall and 5 foot wide and each gate looks like flames, and when they’re closed, it’s a devil’s head,” Colone told The Detroit News for a Saturday story.

Mike “Smitty” Hickey, owner of the Dam Site Inn, wasn’t sure what kind of clientele would show up Tuesday.

“We’re all about having fun here. I don’t think we’re going to get the cult crowd, the devil worshippers or anything like that,” said Hickey, whose bar’s signature concoction is the Bloody Devil, a variant of the Bloody Mary.

Colone, meanwhile, has been in touch with radio stations as far away as San Diego and Seattle that are raffling off trips to Hell in honor of 6-6-6.

The 666 revelry is just the latest chapter in the town’s storied history of publicity stunts, said Jason LeTeff, one of its 72 year-round residents — or, as the mayor calls them, Hellions or Hell-billies. But LeTeff wasn’t particularly enthused.

“Now, here I am living in Hell, taking my kids to church and trying to teach them the right things and the town where we live is having a 6-6-6 party,” he said.

According to the town’s semiofficial Web site, there are two leading theories about how Hell got its name.

The first holds that a pair of German travelers stepped out of a stagecoach one sunny afternoon in the 1830s, and one said to the other, “So schoene hell” — roughly translated as, “So bright and beautiful.” Their comments were overheard by some locals and the name stuck.

The second holds that George Reeves was asked after Michigan gained statehood what he thought the town he helped settle should be called, and reportedly replied, “I don’t care, you can name it Hell if you want to.” The name became official on Oct. 13, 1841.

LOL wish i could go!

the orphanage. it’s a nifty little place, but not huge amounts to see. and the main problem is that it’s very boarded up, thus very very dark inside. not too many photographic opportunities, and the ones that were there were still so low light that it was tough. esp since i went all digital again, and the noise was incredible, and most every picture is blurry. but i took a picture of myself in a confessional. probably the one and only time i will ever be in a confessional. the chapel was cool though strangely boring for a catholic church. the structure’s not in too bad of shape although sean fell through the floor at one point. 2 of the buildings are exactly the same, classrooms littered with desks and random furniture, but…too dark. didn’t go in the basement much, too dark. and too old and creepy. and given the location of the site, if there was going to be a dead body anywhere, it’d be there. the gymnasium building was neat, not completely dark haha. power building accessible as well.

after we finished there we did a quick trip to spaulding. so the reznor heater is now mine! after all the time ian and i spent at spaulding, and now that i got the heater, i have no real reason to get back. checked out pretty much everything now, and nothing really caught my eye that i missed the 1st trip. i’ll still go with whoever is interested but…no real need to do so. as far as industrial sites go, i still prefer carbos-sil for some reason, and keep going back.

will post pics tomorrow or monday. helping mike work on the floor at the terminal tomorrow, and some photographer is coming to look around. possibly doing a sound check for the voodoo dollies for the movie premier too but i’m not sure. it’s best to schedule everything on the same day, so i don’t have to keep going there. did anyone think i’d ever say i didn’t want to be at the terminal all the time? hahaha i just have other things to do, like sleep…

right, was supposed to go to danielle’s grad party today, but i came home from exploring and slept for 4 hours instead. and i don’t feel bad about missing it, because she continues to blow me off while she’s home…so whatever.

i’m going to the german orphanage tomorrow. wtf! yes this existed in buffalo and has been abandoned for ages, and i don’t know of anyone else who has heard of it. there is a website for it, mainly for reunions, with no photos of the building. any other online info has been in obits, and genealogical reference sites. so this is going to be my little secret 🙂 and whoever else is granted permission to read this entry 🙂 i still don’t know how my toronto ue friends found out about it. but it’s in the ghetto. like, near by but worse than the terminal ghetto. so hopefully with the big group of people that will be there, we won’t get stabbed. but incase i don’t come back, go look for me in the orphanage.

so the long injury riddled trip through the playoffs is over. buffalo lost the series tonight. it was a great run. thanks for all the excitement the last 2 months 🙂 needed something to do between nin tours haha

u2 totally sold out with all these world cup commercials. now i’ve seen a 3rd one, using a 3rd different u2 song…with bono narrating of course. god they’re so pissing me off. no, not u2, just bono. so not interested anymore.

so my grandma is apparently halucinating. she’s still in the hospital. i don’t know if its cancer or not, but whatever it is, in her lungs, it caused one lung to collapse, and then pushed all her organs over to the other side of her body. the lung keeps filling with fluid, and there’s something about painting on teflon to prevent it from filling – i dunno. anyway…she’s halucinating and keeps talking to a little boy named davey, and no one knows who this davey person is supposed to be. she has 19 days to die. this will not interfere with my nin shows. that is cold and heartless and i don’t care.

going to cobblestone for the game tonight. probably just me and phill, unless anyone else wants to come, we’ll be there. jerry is supposed to come by too, possibly with some other people. no one is sure of anything haha. it’ll be fun. i really want a beer. haha

lets go buffalo!

buffalo forces game seven tomorrow at carolina. yeaaaay! i managed to weasel my way into watching alot of the game at work. i shouldn’t really say weasel, it just worked out…of course the only night i want to be in high limit, so i can watch the game, i’m not. but i ended up being an extra because they didn’t open my table, so that meant i got to assist on roulette near the bar, and watch the rest of the 1st period. after intermission, it was 9 and conveniently time for my break. so i got to watch half the 2nd on break, then back to roulette for the rest of the period. then after intermission i managed to get the job of card sorter back in high limit, so i got to watch the 3rd on the nice plasma tv. then damn overtime, back to roulette for intermission, and conveniently on break again for overtime. Yay! got to see the winning goal, and everyone going crazy in the break room. trying to find a place to go watch game 7 on thursday, that doesn’t involve me driving 11 hours to raleigh. cuz i did think about that haha.

it is so bloody hot out! gah!

no toronto today, didn’t feel like getting up, and it’s too hot. so i’ll just bum around here, and hopefully it will storm like it’s supposed to and cool things down.

oh and i have ants. lots of them. big. lots = i killed 5 yesterday. i bought ant poison trap things, but i don’t know where they are coming in from to place the traps in good spots. kitty is not doing his job of eating them. he just watches them and bats them around a bit. gross.

i had an incredible dream about getting into the richardson complex. well…it didn’t look like richardson but it was supposed to be it. but by the end of the dream we were getting caught, and getting trespassing tickets, 100$ each. hey i’d pay 100$ to get inside richardson.

things i hate about summer
1. heat
2. sun
3. humidity
4. too large of people wearing too small clothes

things i am not looking forward to this summer
1. queuing in spiral lines in 90 degree hot sun
2. fishnet tan lines (tho that may actually be cool)
3. all my summer clothes that suck, i think i grew since last summer if that is at all possible, everything is too short now

things i miss about the old townhouse
1. air conditioning
2. dishwasher
3. air conditioning
4. no upstairs neighbors

but i like my new place – even if i still haven’t unpacked the office or hung any of my posters up. i think my 70s wallpaper adds to the kitchyness of most of my decorations hahaha.

and speaking of kitch… more exploring today. went out with joe, chris, trevor and missy to hens and kellys in hamburg. they are demolishing it to build a walmart. it’s been closed for ages. the most interesting thing about it, when we walked in there was fog inside. everything is soaking wet, very humid, and it was hot outside so. fog. you just don’t see department stores like that anymore, with a section for “bras and girdles” and “mens furnishings”….it kept making me think of the britcom “are you being served?” (which i still love and is better than any crap sitcom on tv now). there were 2 chandeliers still inside, one fallen from the ceiling, which made for interesting pics in the fog. but being a department store, very few windows, and none upstairs, which meant using evil flash. so i’ve only got a few “artistic” pictures, the rest simply document it, for it’ll soon be gone.

on the way home stopped by the Ho-oats demolition by my wonderful employers. this isn’t something i was crying about along with the rest of the buffalo preservationists, because really, we can sacrifice a grain silo or 2 (i’d pick and choose my battles if decisions of this kind were up to me, and this just wouldn’t be one of them)….but seeing the demo in progress was a bit sad. interesting how it was being done though. took some pics and video, probably crap video but whatever. also went by meyer malting to see the demo progress there…the front building is half gone. no one was around, being a holiday today and all, but i was by myself at this point, and i couldn’t remember the layout inside enough to remember if i could still get other places inside with half of the front gone. oh well. i’ll have to be satisfied with the few pics i got the only time i was there. (not necessarily a building i’d normally cry about being demo-ed either, but i was only in once, and not for very long…and now that i have active exploring friends again, i had been waiting to go back.)

i’d chain myself to cargill though if there was a demo ordered for that silo.

the clintons are going to be in buffalo on wednesday. i don’t know anything about the state’s democratic convention, but i think it would be interesting to go. and i’d love to meet bill. or hillary. and plead my cause 🙂 i just want to go, gotta try to find out information about it, and postpone my possible trip up to toronto wednesday.

somewhat interestingly…maybe just to me…the man who played the principal in The Breakfast Club died…and what is interesting about it, is that he died from mesothelioma….ha. that’s what i’m going to die from. i wonder how he got exposed to asbestos. i still plan on suing SUNY geneseo when the time comes 🙂
