sadly, i’m not that excited about the rehearsal vids on nin.com, maybe cuz i don’t like the album. it is nice to see robin though. and josh’s little toy for echoplex is neat, i guess they’re not using a casio keyboard from 1984…. 🙂

tony is visiting the philippines with his wife and family, and it gets hit with a typhoon. i hope he’s ok. no one has a clue how to contact him, as i doubt if he even took his phone it would work. i emailed him, no idea if he has access to a computer there, or if after a typhoon anything is working. talk about bad timing.
so yes. bit again, half my hand is swollen. my friends made me go to urgent care (ie emergency room not in a hospital) to get checked out. all they did was give me ice and benedryl, which did not work last time and is not working now. i just don’t understand how after 28 years of getting bit by mosquitoes i’m suddenly wicked allergic. but woo am i tired now.

r kelly was found not guilty of child porn for videotaping himself having sex with a 13/14 year old (where rumor has it, he peed on her)…imagine that. a celeb not guilty. and it’s ON TAPE. whatev.
i keep seeing articles on the internets about gas peaking at 4.15/gallon…it’s been over that here for a few weeks now, and is generally closer or above 4.20 – the 3 stations near me are all 4.23. the iraqi gas station near the terminal has been the worst, at 4.30/gallon for regular, but the car wash and other tops stations are 4.18…. i REALLY need to get new bike tires.
it’s hot again blah. i thought i should probably invest in some shorts, because i own one pair from like 1995 that no longer fit appropriately. so i went to target, tried a few on, put them back on the rack. i look absolutely ridiculous in shorts. notice, i’m not saying that my legs are too fat, or any other typically girl reason for not wearing shorts. i just look idiotic. i don’t really know why that is, maybe just that to me, shorts don’t fit with my non-style/personality. so when home i’ll wear my pj shorts but won’t be caught dead in public in them. i’ll have to wear skirts when it’s super hot. i need to go through my summer concert clothes and see what still fits before august.
tour at the terminal tomorrow that i promised months and months ago, maybe even last year ha. fathers day sunday means dinner. and at some point i need to find a truck and man power to pick up terminal artifacts from a warehouse that is being demolished near the river. how these items got there, who the hell knows, but apparently they have things from the restaurant which is my main interest. car inspection monday, i still need to call the dr about the passing out thing but it’s not on the top of my list. i feel like i’m getting sick, my throat is funny and jeff had strep throat last week, which would definitely need meds so…maybe next week. bbq wednesday, ian might come to hike the gorge thurs, and board meeting thurs.
and, nin just blogged info about the physical release of The Slip – 2 disc digipack, limited edition (200k copies), includes dvd of rehearsals – july 22nd. and in the post trent included a japanese game show clip from youtube of people dancing to “God Given”…maybe its not a game show, but an american idol type show…haha anyway. it’s funny.
do i want to go see julien k in toronto on my birthday? they’re playing with…mindless self indugence i think. i’m not sure i have enough time to take off of work though…

The Sci Fi channel show Ghost Hunters is filming an episode at the terminal next week! HOW COOL IS THAT?! I don’t think it’s haunted, and the only one I know who “experienced” anything is James, but..SO COOL.
my finger is still swollen, it did go down a bit, but it’s noticeable. it hurts to run water over it, but it doesn’t itch. to give myself nightmares i looked up brown recluse bites, and this is so not it. my skin is not rotting and falling off. but thanks to google image search providing lots of pictures of the spiders themselves i KNOW i’ve seen those around here. then again…except for a black widow i can’t really tell the diff between spiders. they’re all equally horrifying. and there are alot of generally brown spiders around. just glancing at the pics online i had to look away or else i’d throw up.
looking at pics of other bug bites, no idea what this is. there is no raised red mark as if it was a flea or mosquito or fly, it definitely was not a bee sting. it’s just my entire finger completely swollen. good thing i don’t wear a ring or i’d have no circulation in the finger haha. took some more allergy pills that cassie left here, and some tylenol. it might be difficult to deal, but i’m not sure yet.
it is way too hot out already, too humid. it’s 85 in my house and no circulation. dad’s going to put my ac in tomorrow i guess. he had to go pick up the porsche in rochester today hahahahaha
David came into town for the day on his way to NYC, and since it was nice out (and hot blaaah) we did some exploring. Hit up the battery factory and north office, 2 places i’m not sick to death of and he hadn’t been to during previous trips. i don’t think much changed at either since august, tho possibly some more collapses at battery. at some point while at battery i got another bug bite, right ring finger. it is swelled up like a sausage, was purple for a while, and i can’t bend it completely. i took some benedryl but it didn’t help. i told my mom and she wants me to go to the hospital if it gets worse because it might have been a brown recluse bite and that i should stop exploring because its dangerous. LOL of all the things to worry about while exploring – collapsing floors, asbestos, toxins, police – she is now worrying about bug bites. i suppose if i wake up and my hand is the size of a baseball mitt i’ll go to the hospital. but now, hours and hours later, i do think it’s a bit less swollen and i can bend it a tiny bit more than i could before.
met jenn and mary for dinner after their gun permit class. had some good pizza with hot peppers on it. yum. had a few drinks and david got to hear all the casino drama hahaha. we have tons.
looking at a few houses tomorrow, and work at 8. art show at the terminal this weekend but i dunno if i’m going to make it there or not, a bunch of stuff has come up that i need to get done. i was there wed afternoon returning and going through the merch we have left and i killed my knuckles. so one hand has a sausage finger, and the other bloody knuckles. i’m a mess. just no more passing out. oh did i mention that? i almost passed out at work again on monday. great.
trent announced the final tour line up. that rich fownes guy is out already as bassist, wonder what he did, and some knew guy who apparently played with beck is in. in the rehearsal photos he has a big fro ha. and the tour name is “lights in the sky over north america 2008” which makes me think of 2 things…ufo’s and an extraterestrial theme, and lazer floyd hahaha
too hot in here, and humid cuz there was a storm. no ac in my room yet and the ceiling fan makes clicking noises. blah. why can’t it just be 60 degrees forever.
not sure i mentioned it, but i’m going to visit adrienne in vegas in july, and WE GOT INTO A NEVADA TEST SITE TOUR! WOOOOO i’m so excited. first they said it was full, but the emailed today that they have 2 spots. we’re so in, unless of course adr has some criminal background i don’t know about, and we get denied cuz of homeland security bull hahahah
