apparently adr was on tv during the sabres game again. while she was home she left a pillow for jim lorentz at the arena, and they talked about it tonight. of course, i didn’t see it again, hopefully someone gets it on youtube. she’s uber famous now hehe.

i finished reading Electric Kool Aid Acid Test. it got more interesting when there was a sort of plot – like when Kesey was on the lam in mexico. and in the end i think yeah, it’d be pretty great to have lived then and experienced that whole era. i probably would have been a hippie… or prankster wannabe or an acid head. but i don’t identify with it at all and i don’t understand why the book was ever banned.

now onto the book about the Freemasons. though it may have made more sense to start the book on the 60s Fiction of the Past.

lj had a spotlight on the 50booksayear community, whatever it really is called, and i’d like to try that. only with the way i read, typically before bed, i’ll never get through 50.

hit up transfig with chris and alex today. and i totally pissed chris off. he prob hates me now haha. it was funny to watch him get so mad tho 🙂 teehee. nice lighting conditions, and i went up the stairs this time. we’ll see if anything comes out good. ok no…nothing good at all. something is very wrong. the colors look fine on the lcd, they look fine on the comp as a thumbnail but once i open them the colors disappear and are totally washed out. wtf. and everything is blurry

quote of the day
little girl behind us at the sabres game: “mommy, where’d that toothy guy go?” hahahahahah

a bit behind. i spent the new years weekend on the high limit roulette game, spending fri and sat of the 3 days with tony. we had a good time, friday i actually had players, sat not so much. and after the previous 8 hours talking all night, you kind of run out of things to say. so we started a list. it began with just a list of players we’d shoot or save when we finally go postal and shoot up the casino. but then we realized there is a grey area of people who are sometimes ok and sometimes heinous. so we created the wound list, just shoot them in the leg or something. and then we realized sometimes shooting a person just once isn’t enough, so we added the shoot twice list. sadly, there weren’t too many people on the save list, even after tony went through his notebook of 1000 player names. it was a good time. the list carried over into sunday with the other people i worked with. it’s amusing that depending on the person’s “main game” we all had the same players at the top of the lists haha.

anyway. new years eve was very slow for me, only 1 player, so it was the most uneventful new years eve of the last 4 years. yikes. i’m starting my 5th year there. never really thought that would be happening. ah well.

went to lunch with adr and kate on sunday. we tried to go to the new cheesecake factory cuz i was craving cheesecake badly. it was super busy though, so i got a piece to go and we went to jack astors instead. pan bread, so good.

today brought the early afternoon sabres game, where the above quote was overheard. so great. another win for us. traditionally the sabres would stay after the new years game to sign autographs, but they didn’t this year, of course. phil was bummed cuz he’s trying to get everyone’s autograph on a new jersey to give to a friend of his for his bday. they did give us calendars though, kinda neat. work was deaaaad. i didn’t turn a card all night..er all 6 hours.

i’ll do the obligatory year in review post tomorrow. happy new year to everyone.

checking to see if the closure burns had sound cuz they dont when played on my comp. but they do on the tv. so i went to find the easter eggs. oh dear god, dance party usa. and sex dwarf (apparently no one knows what the song is), and flight attendants. haha. adr2 and bliss, come over so we can watch! i don’t want to watch alone. haha.

wtf?

SKYDIVER LANDS ON BEER VENDOR AT WOMEN’S COLE SLAW WRESTLING EVENT

headline in Petersburg, Virginia, Progress-Index

sabres game #2 tonight. win again, 4-1 (stupid carolina goal in the last 2 minutes ruined the shutout). but we had a penalty shot, that we made, with 42 seconds left. hahah. nice! and max fought! wtf! i hope it’s in the highlights on yahoo later. or youtube. i decided if i get a new jersey i’m getting afinogenov. and i have the same fav ice cream flavor as derek roy. hahahahah

my closure dvds actually burned correctly!! woo! go me.

dream

dreamed that an episode of southpark, specifically season 3, episode 13/6, contained some sort of story line which brought them to a train station. it was a futuristic train station that was modeled after buffalo central terminal. i was watching it, and this drawn terminal, which didn’t look exactly like the building, but contained definite similar elements came onto the screen and i was like WOAH did you see that? and whoever i was with was like, yeah, that definitely looks like BCT. so i went to try to find out which episode it was so i could download and frame cap it to show people they modeled the station after ours.

without getting into too much detail here, what i’m talking about can easily be guessed with the proper attention to details.

why is it that people feel the need to right the wrongs they have done during the christmas season? happened last year, happening again this year. why doesn’t this happen say, mid june, instead of during this arbitrary time of year associated with the birth of christ? why do these “wrongs” happen at all, why can’t you just be a man and own up to your mistakes when they happen, or not let them happen at all to begin with. i always expected more of you than that.

and i’m not going to be some back up friend, asked around when it’s convenient to you, and available for you to be used when you need to clear your conscience. fuck your conscience. if you can’t live with yourself and your behavior – and i can’t understand how you possibly could – it’s not my problem and i just simply don’t care.

my land lords left me a christmas present on my door, a big cookie and 4 black candles. i wonder why they thought black candles were appropriate hahahahah.

83% done on the closure disc 1 dl. 5 more hours it says.

saw house of 1000 corpses. very entertaining and not at all scary or gross. or maybe i’m weird. hahahahah

i have one and a half more days to finish reading the book i bought for my mom for xmas. hahahaha
