my friend at work’s house burned down on christmas. SUCK! total loss. i guess it was started by the fireplace somehow. now i don’t want to get into a theological argument here, i don’t believe and you won’t change that but…how can someone believe in god when on the holiest of days he lets your house burn down…

if you go to yahoo weather right now for north tonawanda, it says “blizzard” hahahahaha i’ve never seen that before. oh man 5-8 inches of more snow. i gave up shoveling. i barely have enough room to get out of the driveway. mom came over and shoveled too while i was sitting here and didn’t even know it. this sucks.

i really wonder why some people from high school friend me on facebook…i got one today from todd brosius who hasn’t spoken to me possibly ever…at least not since elementary school. so it’s like, why bother? other people i actually was friends with makes sense, but this last one just really confused me. i also got one from my 2nd grade best friend nicole who went a little (a lot) nuts and juvenile deliquent haha. she was really not right, and the family had alot of issues. but she’s still hanging around here it seems, took me a while to figure out who she was (married name threw me off). thought she’d be dead or in jail by now hahha and then i keep getting a request from james woodring who i 1.never ever liked 2. used to sexually harass me in elementary school. why would i want to “be friends”. i keep ignoring the request and he won’t give up.

oh man, you don’t realize how big your driveway is until you have to shovel 5 inches of snow off it. omg i’m so sore, my shoulders feel like falling off.
in other news, sabres game tonight. we lost. then it gets better….car got hit after the game while in traffic. huge dent in the bumper but it then popped itself out. the guy who hit me? a player from work ha. so it doesn’t look too bad now that it’s popped out, just paint issues. he’s got a guy who does body work and we’re going to take it friday. arg.

i decided i hate our governor. his list of new taxes is pretty ridiculous. an “obese” tax of 18% on non-diet beverages…um i’m not fat, if i want to drink high sugar crap i should be allowed to without paying an extra 18%. tax on farmers who own cows..$175 per cow because they fart and produce methane. farmers don’t make money as it is and now you’re going to charge them for each cow they own?! tax on downloaded entertainment like music and movies. tax on sporting and entertainment tickets. we pay enough surcharges already, fuck you! another .25 gas tax (on top of .20 we already have making our gas prices higher than other states). then of course, my employers are livid because he wants the natives to charge taxes to white cigarette buyers on the reservations (they, in turn threaten to put toll booths on the expressway through the rez, and charge $20 per car…i’m waiting for the tire fires to start up again haha). tax on cable and satellite tv…cuz we don’t pay enough to them yet either. and i can’t find it in the news, but jenn said he is going to cut funding to education, and cut homeowners STAR rebates. thank you mr patterson.

holy unexpected batman…adr went to the last nin show in vegas, and reported back that josh AND ali said goodbye…whuh? ali? yeah that was a well kept secret, because no one had any idea ali was leaving too. trent said touring in feb in australia and US in april, as a 4 piece…how weird will that be? nin has always been 5 members, how are they going to play the songs without keyboards and random electro gadgets?? it’ll be interesting…
party time
christmas party season. did a secret santa thing with my work friends on thursday at brian and danielle’s house. i got lindsay who had me last year, and got her like 8 pairs of fun socks (she likes fun socks). danielle had me (but she admitted she cheated cuz she saw the gift before she picked the names ha), and got me these 2 neat framed pieces of glass that have architectural drawings on them. had a good time with everyone at their house. on my way home there was a house with EIGHT deer on the front lawn…8!?!?!? i’ve never seen so many at one time, and all on one lawn. i mean REAL deer too, not like, christmas decorations hahah
been busy running errands and making xmas gifts. slowly. i can only make one at a time so it’s taking awhile.
it appears that i’m really unknowingly stressed out about work. i’ve been having alot of chest pains, but realized only at work, or on my way to work. yesterday they started after i put my uniform on and was watching the sabres game. on my days off, or in the afternoons, i’m totally fine. it was sorta worrying before i realized it seems to be stress. still probably not good though. i have a drs appt on the 31st and the 2nd (maybe i should change the one on the 2nd because next year my benefits go up to a $25 copay).
but yeah, work hasn’t been fun. people are still upset and uneasy about more layoffs. jenn just told me quite an interesting rumor about the CEO getting fired today, but no one knows what is really going on. i just go to work with my chest pains and deal and go home.
i finished reading ender’s game, which was recommended by mary months ago. i quite liked it so i added the remaining 4 in the series to bookmooch. but while it’ll be months before i get them, i decided to read Atlas Shrugged again. with the economic problems and business/bank failures it sorta seemed appropriate. i read it in 05 and don’t remember enough to draw parallels so i figured i might as well read it a 2nd time. i’m remembering a bit even having just reread the first chapter and i’m thinking that john galt’s philosophy is actually the reason we’re in this trouble now…but we’ll see if it gets clarified in my head as i go. it’ll probably take me 6 months again to read hah (i found my boarding passes for my flights to reno to see nin in 05 inside the book haha). and i fully expect to skip john galt’s radio speech again too haha.
