i got a hand written letter inviting me to attend church at the lighthouse baptist church on wheatfield st. and i wonder…how do these people get my address…or rather, i keep getting sent things (from companies mostly) welcoming me to my new house and blahblahblah. how do they know i moved? this church one has an amusing disclaimer at the bottom “for your information we received your name and address from a new move-in list provided by Welcome Card in Portland Oregon. If this letter was sent to a child or teenager, then we apologize. Our intent is for letters to be received by adults only.” hahah…but PORTLAND OREGON? how does portland oregon know i moved?!
so i went to see the twilight movie with stef and paul this morning. they invited me so i said sure, otherwise i’d never end up seeing it. maybe i shouldn’t have gone…stef and i agreed it was disappointing. now i’ve made it clear i think the book is fluff trash, tho i quite enjoyed it, and the movie was really really missing something. i think it was edward. i don’t remember cedric diggory being so stiff and weird. pattinson as edward is just not right. the whole time he’s stiff, but stooped over cuz bella is short. stand up straight! and he always looked like he was in pain (maybe that was supposed to be on purpose), or constipated. it was not attractive and he’s supposed to be all super hot. bella was ok, i don’t think she had to be SO sort of antisocial and weird, she always looked miserable even when supposedly happy with edward. carlisle was too white, almost albino. jasper looked weird. rosalie was not gorgeous. emmett and esme were ok. alice was the only one who was cast right i think. she didn’t exactly have a big part though. neither did jacob, 5 lines maybe. i can’t remember if he had a bigger part in the first book or not though. anyway. there was no chemistry between the characters, or even badly acted passion. it just sorta felt empty. the story was mostly the same, but great hollywood romance it was not….however the harry potter trailer looked great!
