researching things to see in berlin, and it looks like i should stay an extra day haha. i want to go to the hansa studios, where u2 began recording achtung baby, and where bowie created his “berlin trilogy” (and is not far from the Golden Goddess of Victory statue where u2’s “stay” video was filmed). i want to see the nazi subterranean bunkers that the Berlin Underground Association offers tours of if possible (their site isn’t working atm), there are the ruins of a cathetral to check out. and i’m just beginning my research. i really wish i could get over my fear of hostels because by god, staying at this one berlin hostel in a 7 bed room is 18euro/night!
